I looked at the MIFOS reports and found that only the
BranchCashConfirmationReport uses an ODA data source, MifosJDBCDataSource. An
ODA data source in Mifos always reads the JDBC connection information from the
MifosReport.rptlibrary file. So, only this report needs to be fixed as part of
this bug.
After having analyzed further, the following needs to be done to fix this bug:
1. Introduce a new scripted data source (or use the existing one if possible)
into the report
2. Migrate all the 8 datasets that constitute the report to use this scripted
data source
- this involves completely rewriting these datasets to consume the scripted
data source (lots of work !)
3. Run the report (possibly on the dev box) to ensure things aren't broken
Estimate for this defect at 50% confidence level (owing to my zero experience
around BIRT) is 5 days.
