Sam Birney commented on MIFOS-2822:
-----------------------------------
Jeff -- sorry it took me a while to get a better understanding of this. you
are correct, the fees seem to get shifted incorrectly only when there is a
difference between repayment schedule and meeting schedule.
Tracing through the code involved in handlePeriodic (in LoanBO, AccountBO,
MeetingBO), it appears that a fee schedule is getting generated that does not
honor the LSIM flag but then compared to a loan schedule that does heed the
LSIM flag, resulting in a mismatch, whereby sometimes two fees get attached to
the same loan installment.
I think the reason why we have not been able to replicate this on your test
server is because you have the non-working day repayment rule set to same_day.
I'll follow up with an email requesting this be changed to next_working_day,
and I'll bet that allows this bug to be replicated in your environment.

> 1. Create a periodic fee of $1/month
> 2. Attach this fee to a loan product
> 3. Create a loan of this product and preview the schedule
> EXPECTED
> 1. $1 fee on each repayment
> ACTUAL
> 1. $1 fee on each repayment, starting with the second repayment
> This bug is relevant to Al Majmoua because they are planning to have more
> customers repay at the post office, which charges $1/transaction.
