I'd like to POC an idea I've had for a while, and which IMHO will bring the
modularity your look for.
It will allow mifos extensions with binary dependencies.
Technical idea is outlined on
https://sites.google.com/site/michaelvorburger/simpleservers. Benefits include:
* Modularity through binary project references (via m2e)
* Possibility to work without WTP in Eclipse (more light-weight IDE, faster),
but still easily start a Server
* Use other IDEs easily
* Jetty embedded for a Packaged Server
I'll start with a standalone POC, then integrate into MIFOS.
