ODC consists from 3 parts:
# Download Data for Field officer
# Data Entry in remote area ( village, center, group place, etc)
# Upload Data into Mifos
from this 3 items 2 is something we all ( most of us) agree on:
1. Download Data using Pentaho BI
2. Upload Data into Mifos using REST API
Issues we have different views on:
1. Data Entry ( web based UI, GUI Based UI, Spreadsheet based App, etc. )
2. Data Format : XML | JSON | XLS | XLSX | ODF | Other
Let us start from the tasks which we all agree on: Download (PENTAHO) and
Import (REST) .
Let us use XLS at the beginning as data exchange format, as historically it
was used in most cases, almost all users are familiar with it ( despite of
JSON) and we will have more contributors, and finally - if in some stage
decision will be done to use XML or JSON it should not be so difficult to move
from structure, well formatted XLS to XML|JSON.
Lukaz - already implemented "IMPORT NEW CLIENT from XLS" functionality. Can we
now implement "import new loan"?
