This is a design related task.
Database primary key identifiers in Mifos X are auto increment bigint(20).
Is this a problem if someone builds an offline client application? This isn't an immediate blocking issue but is expected to come up in the medium term.
One specialist (Natu) felt that a globally unique identifier UUID is needed to prevent 'collisions' when an offline client syncs via the api.
What would be a reasonable solution if this issue arises?
