The interesting thing was that this capabliity already exists for loans.
[Ok this is wierd, it allowed me to do it the first time but after that i was not able to adjust/undo a transaction - This was becase the current check is for 'isClosed --> Closed - Obligations met' whilst the loan I had locally was 'Closed - Overpaid']
Its possible to 'undo' a transaction of a loan in a closed state. This results in the loan transaction been reversed and the status of the loan returning to active.
Vishwas, as you have stated, scenarios like this and also support of 'backdated' transactions will have to be taken into account with support 'temporal property' of 'office' associated with loans.
