I have a few questions about how to handle corrections/ reversals to
postings on Mifos
1. What is the best way to apply a correction to an account which has
had a misposting? I've seen that there is an adjustment option but
understand that this can only reverse the last posted transaction. What
happens if a mistake is found with a previous posting? Do I need to use the
'redo loan' option for this?
2. If I post via the collection sheet and realize that this posting
was incorrect, do I need to reverse each transaction individually or is
there some way to reverse all of the transactions posted with the same bulk
entry.
3. If I make a mistake with a savings deposit it seems like the only
option is to modify the entry made, and not actually reverse it. would I
therefore need to post a withdrawal to effect the reversal?
4. What options are available for reversing charges? I see that apply
adjustment exists but it doesn't pick the last transaction posted.
5. Are there any other restrictions on deadlines for reversal? Ie. Can
I reverse at any point of time into the future or is it not possible say
after the next group meeting date.
