I believe that an update for Mifos 2.0 is in the works.
Why Windows? Running on a Windows platform means that you're running an
emulation environment, or a port of code originally developed for Linux, and
paying licence fees to boot. I'd expect performance on the same hardware
platform to be a lot better with Linux than with Windows as well.
Although we run mostly Debian here, I believe that using the Ubuntu LTS
(Long Term Support) release, currently 10.04, makes a lot of sense.
Indeed, I have considered raising an issue to constrain the packages
required to run a production instance of Mifos to just those that are
available in Ubuntu's standard repositories for the LTS release. I refer to
this as the stable vs shiny question. Developers want all the new, shiny,
stuff; we operational types want stability.
Regards
Graeme

Hi there,
I'd like to ask the hardware requirement of MIFOS. Is it OK if we use Intel
chip 64 bit base?
Is there any issue or setting that need to be adjusted?
