Its hard to remember all the way back to 1.3, I think we cleared up the
error message around this in the latest mifos 2.2.
But as you say, its most likely to do with the way mifos is tied to meeting
schedules. So your group meets every other tuesday (just to be clear that
means tuesday every 2 weeks?), this meeting schedule is tied to the center
meeting schedule so if center meeting schedule was
Tues 19th July 2011
Tues 2nd Aug 2011
Tues 16th Aug 2011
and the group was then created/activated on say 30th of July, its meeting
schedule should match center schedule and start from:
Tues 2nd Aug 2011
Tues 16th Aug 2011
etc
mifos expects the disbursement to happen on the next meeting date after it
has being approved (i think) which should fall on one of these tuesday every
2 weeks dates, so with loan being approved on Tues 16th Aug 2011, expected
disbursement is Tues 30th Aug 2011 etc.
However, there were issues with support of loan schedule of the form every x
weeks, where x was greater than one, These issues may of existed all the way
back to 1.3 but they were fixed in 2.1.3 i believe.
It might be hard for you to test this yourself but would need to:
on test instance:
You might create a center/group/loan product where repayments are made every
1 week on tuesday and approve/disburse loan to see if it works correctly.
(it should)
then you can create a brand new center/group/loan product where repayments
are made every 2 weeks on tuesday and approve/disburse loan to see if it
works (it should)
where the problem came up before is if the group is created on the 'in
betweeen' week of the centers meeting schedule, so based on example above,
if the group was created and activated (not on 30th of july) but on 4th of
Aug, it would pick up the wrong meeting schedule and not match centers but
be off by 1 week all the time.
