Thanks John for the insight, but the bat file is not there in the directory.

Could I have downloaded a wrong file which is incomplete?

I downloaded from this link
http://mifos.org/product/download-mifos/business-intelligence-suite .

Kindly advise if there is any other.

Jakub,

Thanks for sharing this great news with the community. Happy to see
SolDevelo playing such a large role in the community. Would you be able to
make one of the upcoming weekly developer calls to discuss support of the
Mifos 2.2 branch and ongoing feature development?

Both of these have been ongoing topics of development that have been
discussed at various lengths.

Ed

Thomas,

Glad to see you are looking into cloud hosting for your customers.

For all the technical details on hosting, see. Our team has compiled all
our knowledge to date here:

Ryan or others can expand more on costs but it depends on the size of the
organization.

hi team,

I am in the process of restoring a cloud instance of mifos on to local
server running windows XP. the mifos front end is mifos 2.1.5

the following is the restore procedures used;

*To restore your Mifos database using the MySQL Query Browser and MySQL
Administrator user interface:*

**

   1. In MySQL Query Browser, drop the Mifos database by right-clicking *
   mifos* and selecting *Drop Schema*.
   2. In MySQL Administrator, click *Restore* in the left pane.
   3. create a new schema called mifos.
   4. Click *Open Backup File* and select the backup you created. i selected
the "ignore error"option. the character set i selected was latin1. the
target schema option set = "Another schema" and selected the newly
created
mifos schema from the adjustment drop-down.
   5. Keep the default settings and click *Start Restore*. Start Mifos and
verify that the restored data is there.

once the data restore in completed, user are not able to login using the
similar credential as on the cloud.

i was able to login after resetting the super user password to "testmifos",
using the init_mifos_password.sql that is downloaded with mifos.

the following is the link to the backup
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5711815/prod_mifos.20110829_0008_UTC.zip

your assistance will be highly appreciated.

Hi Binny,

we will try to include such small enhancements in the 2.2.1 release, but our
main goals are the stability and REST API module.

Binny,

What I was thinking is the feature might work the following

* Standard permission for editing the birthdate or not (ie, don't make this
a configuration option but a permission option)
* Feature for India that when turned on, has a new field "Age". This would
work with DOB and when filling in the customer profile, the user could enter
in either of the two details (IE, either one would pass the profile
verification and let the account be created).

Does that make sense? So I think what you originally requested would be the
first step and probably easiest, just trying to record down what might be
the most optimum in the future.

users can gain, then altering the feature completely makes sense.

Hi Ed,

I will try to make one of the upcoming weekly developer calls, but not the
next one. Unfortunately Wednesdays are rather hard for me at 9:30 -
10:30 AM PDT.

Regards,
  Jakub.

Richard,

I would recommend reading through the developer documentation on the BI
Suite:
http://mifosforge.jira.com/wiki/display/MIFOS/BI+%28Reporting%29+Documentati
on

Additionally, since the Mifos BI Suite is built on top of Pentaho, an open
source product, I would search online as that is more likely to have the
more relevant information to building reports - then you can use the link
above to get more details about what was done specifically for Mifos.

Lastly - might be worth joining the developer community, that's where most
general development questions should be posed.

Best of luck!

Ryan

PS - If you find out the answers to your questions, please do feel free to
share (on the dev list!), so others can learn from you.

Hi Binny,

I changed the fixVersion of the following tickets:
 * MIFOS-4413 (Ability needed to edit Center Name)
 * MIFOS-4368 (Date of Birth of members and users need to be update-able)

to Release 2.2.1.

You can see the current list of tickets scheduled for this release using the
following link:

http://mifosforge.jira.com/browse/MIFOS/fixforversion/10730

Regards,
  Jakub.

Hellos;

I want to install Mifos BI Suite on same server running Mifos v2.1.3.

As per the guide, I am stranded on the first part of setting up MySQL i.e.
when I run the command as below I get an error message:

C:\MifosInstall\mifos_bi-1.3.0>mifosbi_mysql_scripts.bat ROOT
<<myrootpassword>>

'mifosbi_mysql_scripts.bat' is not recognized as an internal or external
command

,

operable program or batch file.

Is there anything I have left out? Kindly advise.

Thanks;

You might be in the wrong directory (look to see if that bat file is in the
directory)

I'd guess it might be in a lower directory
