Offer of help: can do a screen-sharing session and demonstrate to you the
export from Mifos of vouchers in XML format and its import into Tally.
Pls note that there are some potential mis-steps (concerning configuration of
the chart of accounts required before Mifos is started up _the_First_time_)
which I can highlight
Question: I am not sure if you are presenting alternatives (in your email)
separated by OR. The migration between another MIS and Mifos is (or can be)
independent of migration to Tally.
However, you must port opening balances to corresponding ledgers in Tally (such
as 'loans made', 'bank', 'cash', etc.) to match the amounts as of commencement
of use of Mifos, but your accountant will know this well enough. It is easy to
setup another company on Tally and do a trial run for this
Note that Mifos does NOT do branch-based accounting, so you might want to check
if that is the current approach and/or expectation.
