never seen it, but I think this is a Servlet Container /App Server
complaining a little about some Thread in Mifos which isn't cleanly stopped
on App/Context shutdown...

Which environment are you using? Tomcat? AFAIK Jetty doesn't do this.
(Although I suspect that Tomcat's "stricter" checks are correct.)

In reality, this is NOT A PROBLEM, because presumably you are seeing this
message during shutdown? Most people completely restart their entire
Jetty/Tomcat/... when they shutdown/restart their WAR App/s. This message
could only indicate a real problem (memory leak) if you would stop Mifos
and restart Mifos WAR WITHOUT stopping /starting your entire "app server".
So basically you can just ignore it! ;-)
