Nayan, I think this discussion confuses two things:
Option 2. could be shown in a "Nav Bar" in a cool App (although not all
apps have this.. and it depends how to show the "logical" data structure of
the app data in a UI - not always obvious ("client might be a member of
more than one group"...). More of a nice to have?
Option 1. is "just" the Browser back button! Ctrl-H or long-press on the
back button shows that.
<offtopic>How to get Back working in an SPA is another (tech) discussion of
course.. personally I've toyed with https://github.com/angular-ui/ui-router
in https://github.com/vorburger/MUI.js and think it's great!</offtopic>
