Hello Mifos/Fineract users, It's always recommend to backup your precious data at multiple storage units could be at a different PC - systems,secured emails,cloud backup storage,external hard drives,etc. You may be victim to ransomware attack, system/server failure/corrupt, Fire/any type of disaster,etc at any point of time. So act wisely before it's too late.
Here is a split for backing up required content:- *Daily backup needed to limit your data loss - * - 1) *Mysql database* - Here is a guide how to take backup and restore it - *https://mifosforge.jira.com/wiki/spaces/docs/pages/98107409/Mifos+X+Database+Backup+and+Restore <https://mifosforge.jira.com/wiki/spaces/docs/pages/98107409/Mifos+X+Database+Backup+and+Restore>* - 2) *.fineract *folder which contains your uploaded documents - *Needs to take daily backup at multiple storage units. * *Need to backup at-least onetime at multiple storage units until there is a change- * - 1) *.keystore* - Need to backup at-least onetime until you change the key, at multiple storage units. - 2) .*mifosx* folder which contains penathoreports folder - Need to backup at-least onetime until you change reports, at multiple storage units. - 3) *Root folder* - Need to backup at-least onetime until you change the code/version, at multiple storage units. - 4) *fineract-provider* war or folder - Need to backup at-least onetime until you change the code/version, at multiple storage units. *Note - *You could also take tomcat folder at once(instead of 3 and 4 separately) which will contain root folder,fineract-provider folder,etc. Would welcome the community if I have missed any points to take backup.
