When you login to the unit and it's now showing the interface list are you
connecting by IP or MAC? I see this problem very frequently when doing MAC
based logins and it seems to be more prevalent problem with certain
laptops/computers and even more so if your utilizing a wireless link between
your computer and the routerboard.

But if it is a IP based login it do sound like your either connecting over
a congested link or the board itself is bogged down under high CPU load
which is other cases where I have seen similar behavior of data not getting
properly updated in Winbox.

Eje;

I've been having similar problems on two RB-450UP's I upgraded to RBv6.20
last week. I

bought 5 up the ne RB-450up's to have a remote sites. My symptoms:

When I first log into one of these rb450up's I cannot see the interface's. I
get

kicked out and can log back in and see the full interface list with all
details.

Everything connected to the interfaces (AP, etc) is normal. I'm thinking now

of rolling back the ROS till v6.21is available. This has been driving me
nuts..

Seen similar behavior when your router is starting to run out of memory and

Might want to check your memory consumption on the router and see if your
running any layer 7 firewall rules or Web proxy which both can suck up
memory like you had unlimited amount of ram.

Mikrotik support mentioned they saw the logging process had crashed a few
times in the rifs, which was odd.

Mikrotik got back to me with:

Hello,
just checked with developer, it seems that this log problem should be fixed
in
v6.21. You can try out latest development version to check if this software
change
helps on one of these problematic routers. The mentioned build is available
in our
web page download section right under current release download block.
