Oddly enough, I happen to be working on one at this very moment. Just tested, and yup, 1G optics work in the SFP+ port.

Plenty of language saying the 1C port supports 100Mb/s SFP's, As well as Gig, But no language saying the SFP+ port would support anything but 10G...
