I forget the list it was on, but i will look for it, someone did a test and
IIRC (might be faulty memory here) but Star will link to a MT ap, but MT wont
link to a StarAP, and UBNT will link to both. Ubnt will also use compression and
fast frames (etc 11g features) with Star, but not with MT. I dunno if this was
done on purpose or not, as this is not spec modulation and whatnot. I know it
has made me buy a staros ap (after being a mt user for 5 years) and start to
really think about changing all my AP's. I had just changed many of them to Ubnt
units and am happy (except with the odd compression/fast frame/etc support (and
lack of it) in some Ubnt products!). I am building a test tower just to play
with my B5M's and rocket gear and if I like it, will continue on standardizing
with ubnt AP/CPE with MT routers at the ends. Ubnt needs to really get its
5.2/5.4 cert. If star or mt had a compatible ap/cpe to the Ubnt Rocket, life
would be over joyous (and I would all need committed for being more then happy)
