If a transformer style PS shorts it can put out a bunch more voltage than you want. Check without a load if you want and it shouldn't be more than 27 Volts I keep some old 133c's around just to test PS's after checking without load. If it blows the 133, I cut the cord off to reuse and toss the PS and the 133... LOL
