If you are connecting it to the USB port of a 493G, it won't work without a power injector on the USB or soldering a jumper wire on the back of the 493. MikroTik didn't actually put any power out on the USB port. http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=50495 We did that Friday and it seems to be working so far. But to really help, we need to know: Which APC UPS model? Which RouterBoard model? What cable? APC brand USB/Serial ? or one you made?
