Southwest Windpower makes the air-x, air breeze and whisper 48v
generators. The just can't keep their web site up and running today.

No one makes a 48v wind generator. I will have to use dc/dc converters
for those, not that i think i will use any of them on my remote sites,
the links are to far.

All of our remote sites are currently 24V, but we are looking into
converting them all to 48V because so many of the newer high performance
radios are 48V.

Yea I wont be holding my breath on that one. They should have had one
a loooong time ago. I have a few Tycons out
there. The main holdup for me is that I had been installing 12v wind
generators due to the sites being 12. I should have
converted to 24v at that time. Now its a larger forklift, oh well its
just money right?

Ubiquiti is going to come out with a poe switch but who knows when or
specs.. The problem with converters is you can't tell how your
batteries are doing anymore...

I would love to add these to a few of my sites. I run 12v at any site
that does not have AC due to first gen gear when the sites were built.
At 12v a rocket's 8watts is .67 amp so it exceeds the .5amp rating.
This is very disappointing. Are there any decent DC/DC converters for
12->24 that can supply 6amps? Are there plans for a .75 or 1a RB750?
