The intel drivers in version 5 of ROS are a problem. While not a "public" admission, Mikrotik made it clear that the buggy intel drivers were replaced in version 6 of ROS with the kernel upgrade. Current recommendations are that you don't run ANY queue trees on that hardware if you will be moving over about 15-20 Meg of traffic. The newer scripts work a little better, but the bug in the intel code seems to be a combination of queues + anything > 15Meg of traffic. There may be other times you'd see the bug, but this is one that I have battled for a long time. FWIW, the issue doesn't exist in version 4 of ROS, but that hardware required v5+. -- ******************************************************************** * Butch Evans * Professional Network Consultation * * http://www.butchevans.com/ * Network Engineering * * http://store.wispgear.net/ * Wired or Wireless Networks * * http://blog.butchevans.com/ * ImageStream, Mikrotik and MORE! * * NOTE THE NEW PHONE NUMBER: 702-537-0979 * ******************************************************************** _______________________________________________ Mikrotik mailing list [email protected] http://www.butchevans.com/mailman/listinfo/mikrotik Visit http://blog.butchevans.com/ for tutorials related to Mikrotik RouterOS
