Sorry for the odd topic but this comes up in discussions a lot and I thought I would ask. I do not claim to be a wireless guru by any means!
So my question: Is it legal according to FCC / USA to operate a Mikrotik radio in the 5.2 - 5.4 band (provided that all proper rules for power ..etc are followed?) . I thought that wireless gear had to be certified (DFS validated ..etc) in order to operate in this space. I see that some radios have DFS settings ..etc but I assume these are not validated?
