I have plenty of Mikrotik devices in the field that have lasted a long time, both in wireless environments and not. I think I still have a smattering of 1xx and 5xx boards out there with whatever wireless cards were available at the time. That said, this is the domain of the UniFi. I'd also use their ToughSwitch to aggregate them.
