For my networks I always set up the Bridge (AP) Side as the one closest to the 
core network. If I allow the remote side to scan for frequencies then I can 
change the frequency on the Bridge and the Station then will adjust to connect.

Has helped me a few times when people have stuck up another radio / source of 
interference and broken an existing link.
