Our external mx relay uses just file::scan updated every week, and clamscan updated 48 times a day. Based on this article, it appears clamscan is updated faster then the other virus scanners. Off topic: Would be cool way to improve clamscan if thus: On virus's that slip by clamscan and are detected by later virus scanners, the virus was mailed to clamscan along with the detected virus name. Eg, Incoming mail, scanned in this order, file;clam, uvscan. Uvscan detects virus, so clamscan and file missed it, so the message is then forwarded to clamscan for inclusion in their virus scanner, along with the detected virus name via the scanner that detected it. -- Luke Computer Science System Administrator Security Administrator,College of Engineering Montana State University-Bozeman,Montana _______________________________________________ Visit http://www.mimedefang.org and http://www.canit.ca MIMEDefang mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.roaringpenguin.com/mailman/listinfo/mimedefang
