     I suspect that IPv6 will happen first and sooner then many people
think.  It is already being used over seas and in mobile applications
due to a shortage of IPv4 address space for these.  Also, the US
military is moving to IPv6 by 2008, which will cause a lot of other
people to move as well, quite possibly kicking and screaming.  This
will cause a bit of a chain reaction.  There are already some major
ISPs that provide production IPv6.  Also, all current major OSes and
networking equipment already provide support.
