yes I know that but I'm not too worried and I do intend to bring in a
whitelist. My server only handles my own mail, no-one elses so there's no
great consequence. In my efforts to control junk mail I have to start
somewhere and nothing ventured nothing gained.

If it is just yours, why don't you have MD add something in the header and let procmail file it in a folder you can inspect/empty once in a while in case your preconceived notions about the importance of these messages turn out to be wrong - or your filter just has a typo?
