The woman supposedly in charge of Haringey child protection while Baby P was being abused and killed was Sharon Shoesmith. Today brings news that she is appealing against her dismissal. Do old shoes turn up like bad pennies? This is the UK where our dataprotection and information commissioners actual conspire to keep data and information secret until some drunken MI5/6 officer or other public servant leaves it in a convenient gutter or train - so we don't have full facts and relevant whistle-blowers have been gagged by our wonderful legal system. The woman appears to have presided over getting a good score from another "commission" (OFSTED) while this kid got broken ribs and back before being left to die by a dismal parent. I wonder what her defence is? Maybe we should offer some suggestions to help?
