On a cellular and genetic level, that 'will to exist' is eternal. Few today even have a clear 'purpose of living'...in the mental/conceptual sense. Some can quote others, but, on their own are left high and dry. This is a rather sad state of affairs. And, yes, such transcendence is ultimately into theosis.
