Maybe your brain is getting wrinkled like mine? But your reasoning is why I think IQ tests should be broken up into discrete areas of ability rather than lumping a person's score all into one. The closest I've ever seen was a skill/career test I took a number of years back that turned out to have been very correct about my areas of skill, interest and ability.
On the other hand, there were a lot of things I've been interested in over the years that I've not been worth a damn at.
