Gruff, very agreeable vision of a New World Order ! So, what's new, for us here ? Here, in India, the polity has always favoured a ' mixed ' economy, as against being capitalist or socialist. However imperfectly it has developed over the last 60 years, I believe the resulting governance system has had such regulatory checks in place that have enabled the country to avoid much of the direct effects of the current financial crisis.
