What a bold topic! Aren't you afraid that folks will think you are slipping into the dark depths of depression?
I think it's a little 'too much' to say that it's a 'habit' of poets. Maybe their heirs drive them to it to get the book sales revenue up. I don't think a woman is ripe until 30 :-) If I own a part of the world and you don't, you can have mine. In most cases (especially in the US with DNA identification and child support) man and woman must give to their creation.
