Yes, I've heard that as well. Plus, the Arabic oil is just easy to get right now. That's why we're getting it. We've plenty(I mean PLENTY) of oil right here in the good 'ol usa but it's a bit harder to get to. Shale oil, off shore oil(I've been drooling over the coast of Mission Beach for decades) oodles of gas and coal deposits to last for many, many years. Plus, with the post bubble recession, we aren't using it near as much. Peak oil is a myth. It's still in our best interest to suck the rest of the world dry first.
