The only occasion I wouldn't vote for Orn will be when we have
established direct democracy and voting has become a thing of the past
and we all rule in worlds of our own. The first Test Match Gruff was
a colonial affair - between Canada and the United States. In a recent
book on the history of cricket, it is claimed WW2 may have started
because cricket was popular in Germany and they were somewhat miffed
that we wouldn't send our professionals to improve the game there in
the 1930s. Had world domination of cricket been their aim it would
have made more sense to invade Australia than annexe Austria - no
doubt a slip of the umlaut was involved.
I was unaware of Orn's splendid detective work on the Tinker
problematic, but did sense in the continuum that Tink is as worthy a
member of the Harmless Buffoon Club as the rest of us. Welcome back
mate.
