I read this thread yesterday and it put me to thinking. Teeth gnashed and amidst obscene grunts ears vented blasts of steam from time to time. Here's what came to me.
Wisdom is knowledge above and beyond and everyone has the ability or capacity to garner wisdom from their lives albeit in vastly varying degrees. Wisdom can be narrowly focused or an endless horizon. I liken wisdom to essences. To know the essence of something is to have wisdom regarding that thing. It is a truth which holds true across the board. Essence is the elemental nature of something. It's truth which exists in all the dimensions, folds and tucks. For simple instance, the essence of water is H20 in steam, liquid or solid form but it has a greater essence in that it's absolutely necessary for life in a carbon based universe. I've no doubt water has a vastly broader essence than that small part I've managed to grasp here but I'm sure you grasp the essence of my meaning. Notwithstanding pure luck wisdom enables decisions and actions which are unquestionably more correct, right, positive and productive than what might otherwise be offered up. Wisdom also seems to bring its holder a pleasure, peace and calm most seek. Or perhaps finding peace and calm enables wisdom which produces pleasure.
