Lotro - If by "God" you mean the god of the bible, then I disagree. Why? First, I view the bible as just a collection of campfire stories. Second, the god of the bible is awful - for example, he (or she) told Abraham to take his kid out back and kill him, and to win a bet put Job through the agonies of the damned, and put his "only begotten son" here to die a death of prolonged torture. What rational person would choose to believe in such a "God?" Not me. But I do believe there is a spirit that pervades all and that gives rise to all, maybe just because it can. And one of the things it gives rise to is rationality - the ability to understand that yeilds all of science including the theory of evolution. Jim
