I offer this piece for the same reason I offer all my material, to
maybe get you to see something from a point of view you had not
considered, even though you always seem to say that you have heard it
all before.
I realize that most of you probably suck at “sales” but this might
be something worth considering. I view all of your opinions now just
as any other mall shopper does, strolling down the aisle of a Wal-
Mart, reading the thousands of packages of injection molded plastic
crap for sale, and I judge your “value” by what that package says,
read the fine print, and determine what value it might have to me, in
the words presented. I don’t care how many books you read or how much
experience you claim to have, all I care about is the words of your
post, and whether you sell me or not. If it doesn’t? Well I am
not buying. So far, I ain’t buying much of this stuff. I could care
less what value you think you have, or what wisdom you think you have
to offer, if you don’t sell me and all the other Wal-mart shoppers in
the world MALL you despise?, well we are not buying your vision. And
we are the majority. We count, because we either buy or don‘t buy,
and we therefore wield power that you will not be able to deal with
very easily at all, so I suggest you “sell” your ideas to us, the
unwashed, the unread of your books, the regular folks who live in this
world and buy and sell crap. Someone in here said WAKE UP??
Wal-mart sold umpteen bazillion units of injection molded crap
last year alone. Microsoft and a hundred other software producers
sold video games by the billions. How many units did you sell?
Those people don’t care what you think because you didn’t sell them
anything better than a plastic box with lights. I don’t care what you
think, I don’t care what you think you know, it doesn’t mean crap if
you can’t “sell” the rest of the idiots in the world a new idea, any
better than a plastic box that lights up with a plug.
You may be the smartest people in the world, but SORRY! You are
alone with your smart cronies if you can’t SELL your ideas to every
shopper in the mall. That is the way of the world now, can’t you see
that? Sorry, I will have to argue against you and then eventually
pass you by if you can’t convince me. You can carry on without me,
but you will lose. Because the “winners” sell their ideas to the
world, and those winners are the salesmen. The Reagans, the
Thatchers, the Bush’s, oh and the Obamas , but they too will cave in,
but the next one ?, they will just keep on coming because let’s face
it folks you SUCK at sales. It is quite pathetic.
If you suck at it as much as it seems you do? You DESERVE to lose
the world. The salesmen win. Wake up TO THAT will you? You people
think you sell your ideas. You are so wrong. You only sell to the
choir! Those are not the people you need to sell to! You need to
sell to those who don’t even look at your wares, the people who buy
injection molded CRAP, to the people who reject your ideas at first
sentence! You need to sell THOSE people, and the people like me who
don’t buy your story as pitched. The regular folk on the street. You
don’t sell them? Well the salesmen will inherit the earth, and they
will deserve it, because you failed to convince. You are going to be
very disappointed in the direction of the world. You will sit back in
disgust watching the news and your local market close, replaced by the
franchise chain, and be horrified by the markets in general. You are
always talking about “waking up” well WAKE UP!!
