Allan =- since you indicated that you have already been through one of these you know what is to be expected. Therefore the core issue - I imaginine - is for you to indentify the specific nature of your fears. I have found it personally and professionally helpful to discuss the reality of your fantasies with an objective person who will not judge, nor easily dismiss, nor trivialize your concerns but help you assess the reality of what you have to go through and perhaps give you some advice as to what you might be able to do to realistically reduce your distress.
If I were in your shoues and no one else was around I would immeditaely contact the social serive department of the hospital and tell the head counselor or nurse clinican about your concerns... As to have a consultation and share all of your concerns with him or her.
