Google tells me he's the Roman Catholic Archbishop of New York. Perhaps I caused some offence or confusion by carelessly implying that the Archbishop of York (England) could only be C of E, but Google also seems to tell me that there is no Roman Catholic Archbishop of York, so there was no real ambiguity.
