As to it being ‘basic’…of course it is…as have been other articles of
his printed in popular publications. Tricycle is sort of a ‘pop’(ular)
periodical and lends itself to such a level of presentation.

Alan is great at sharing his insights in a way that most can hear. IF
one is interested in knowing more of his work including lists of
publications, papers, MP3s, research projects etc. … mostly free…much

Over the last few days, I’ve been relistening to a recording of the
Shamatha retreat (something he has done a research project on) I
participated in with Alan a few years ago. He is engaging and clear,
quick and gentle as well as erudite while emptying his cup from
decades of study.
