I like the way threads morph into other discussions. I don't see 'mother nature' as being offended by anything. "She" feels nothing at all, respects nothing and forgives nothing because she doesn't exist. However, it is undeniable that homosexuality offends some humans. Perhaps it's due to repression by strict parents or a religion or maybe they are uncomfortable with their own sexuality; I don't know. For me, personally, thinking about male homosexual activity makes me slightly nauseous so I tend to avoid it. (incidentally, I have a much different reaction to female homosexual activity) I view gay sex as mutual masturbation. There's nothing wrong with it and, indeed, it can be psychologically healthy if biologically wasteful. That said, I still would rather not hear the details from friends for the above mentioned reasons. I don't want to offend them by letting them know it makes me sick to my stomach. Seeing blatant male homosexual affection(kissing, rubbing, etc.) also makes me slightly ill. Girl on girl and guy on girl doesn't bother me at all and in fact I have a voyeuristic streak in my that wants to keep watching and I have to force myself to move on. It's pleasurable. I don't see this a big deal and it's easy enough to ignore what makes me uncomfortable. I think it may be genetic. Perhaps this is what you mean by mother nature being offended?
