ah! enough is, indeed, a state that many of us wander
Meh, I've bounced in many directions of mental state and the words are
out there to express each one to a good degree. But they are like so
many programming languages, and the ones who provide a guiding light
often stand blinded by the same, that is how it usually seems for me.
There must be a way, a system of knowledge and belief which can provide
that extinguishment for each of us. For me, I am hoping to find the
thing that the lowest, and destitute man can take ahold of no matter
from which direction he came and exceed the greatest mind and spirit of
today. Something that unites all domains of philosophy, knowledge,
belief, and experience without diminishing their potential but by
staring all things straight forward and infusing that light which our
guides have found into the collective destiny of mankind and everything
we do. It wouldn't be my place to judge the ascetic and inaction,
pacifism, but there does appear to be a loss in it, that of humanity.
Something we know much and little about. In unison, and complementary,
higher/lower, endo/exo appears to me the truth against the axioms of
dichotomy and being rendered impotent in one way or the other. Yet, all
the knowledge and beliefs are so rich with power and meaning we would be
at a loss without such diversity, but I don't think it should represent
our greatest weakness, nor do I believe it today represents our greatest
strengths, but I do believe all of it can.
At least that is what I imagine this thing to be for me, 'enough'. I
don't think that is motivated by a sense of entitlement, self-pride,
justice even but because I believe it is possible. Of course all these
words are conveniently accessible symbols for an inconvenient situation.
Before I forget again, thank you for the introduction to Cohen's music,
it has been wonderfully inspiring, painful, and uplifting!
