while it is hard to understand how time moves, it "seems" that it must. light,
sound, heat all move. and while we can not "see" or witness the movement of
time, that probably demonstrates our limitation rather than times lack of
mobility. history indicates that the human animal suffers from serial
arrogance, always thinking that what we know is all there is to know.

I suppose i used the wrong word.. rooted.. wat i was trying to explain was
that...there is no movement through time..movement can only be comprehended
when we see it in relation to our memory...otherwise there are countless
'nows'...like RP said somewhere no present and no future..i agree with your
worm apple explanation... as for cyclical nature of events...i guess through
observing that also can we feel 'movement'...and also that it is contained.. on
the other hand the linear concept i find intimidating personally..and
overwhelming...faulty reasoning maybe;-)

your description of time as a river is intriguing. but i believe we are not
rooted, but move at our own speed. similar to Einstein's description of a
person and a train in the theory of relativity. much seems to come back to the
human mind trying to describe or comprehend items and concepts that it is a
small part of.

makes me wonder if I am simply a worm inside an apple - how could a worm
comprehend the apple and beyond?
