I tend to generally agree with Molly. We remember dreams because we experience them. We live 'through' them like we live 'through' waking life. As far as how we perceive a flow to events AS memory, science has no answer. I do, though. It boils down to having a 2-D consciousness that allows us to integrate the 4-D slices of space time as we exist on the bow-wave of the expansion OF space-time and move past those 4-D slices.
