Numbness through overload that seems to hit home somehow. Also isolation from discourse engendered by the mass media.
A world full of soundbites and populist memes aimed to strike quickly at the emotions because attention spans are limited. Is this our present reallity, is it harmful. If so can anything be done about it. Education is such a slow process and newspapers and TV seem to 'teach' more quickly. It seems that even the educational hierarchy are moving away from thinking towards knowledge based rote solutions. Am I too pessimistic.
