This evening I heard a rattle on the driveway gate and I opened the door to see if a neighbor child was retrieving a ball that had flown over the fence. A fierce slap of wings and a huge bird took off- an eagle?- so quickly, I couldn't identify it plus I slammed the door in fear. Maybe it was an eagle who knows about the rabbits and other critters.
