Observing generally, I sense that you people have not read how thoroughly the money elite have inscrutably instilled the lure of wealth and power among Americans, from the time they begin to go to school through college and hospitals, higher study academies, and subsequent career in MNCs, Banks, Wall Street, Think Tanks, Congress, US Admn, Military...
Where is the Truth ? Where the voice of millions in the margins ? The Govt policy is set by think tanks. The Congress is practically herded by elite. The elections are funded by them, as also higher education, business expansion, health institutions, entrepreneurship, military - industrial complex, research funding and scholarship, journalism and media... phew. What the people think and belief, opine and want, and need, just doesn't matter enough ! The upshot of this is that so long as there is boom and opportunities there might not be much of visible anger and angst. But no sooner the situation takes a turn for the worse, it might erupt in " jasmine " protests. The London riots are caused as much by unemployment as other factors to the situation !
