That is not quite true Orn,, I was having trouble with just filling out my taxes,, didn't make much that year well below where I had to pay taxes,, and he got a tax lawyer/ certified public accountant friend of his to help me with my taxes (no charge).
Now he did taxes for rich people and corporations ,, the deal was was after the did the best return they could he would re-do the returns and he received 50% of the increase in tax savings.. (he became very wealthy doing tax returns he was extremely good,) He took my forms and said he would do it at his office in the morning,, and the next evening ,, he returned laughing with my tax and gave it to me to sign so he could mail it.. He did not sign it because if he did it would definitively get audited just because he signed it.. Not only did I get all my tax money back.. I received and additional $2,700 above what I had already paid .. a total of some $ 3,100+ and that was more than I made that whole year.. John said he thought he read about that deduction and never had a chance to use it before.. There are tax deductions for poor people but we just do not know how to use them. but you are very right... that incident was the exception not the rule..
