You are right, that's always been an option. What I remembered, but which is not there anymore, is the "private" email option to the group of moderators/owners, a role distinction which has never really been made transparent either. But since this third option does not exist anymore, the "email us" cannot be linked to a private consultation wish with the group of moderators/owners. That has do be done either individually or in public and this is how I think it was meant and intended by Neil. So all is fine the way it is, I just want my mistake to be corrected.
