I have always thought taking a free lunch so much better than lengthy
proofs that there is no such thing.

My first understanding on religion and science imagination was the book
'Flatland: a romance of many dimensions' (1884) - everything in Flatland
lives in two dimensions, there is a lineland and a pointland (with one
being living on her own in a world of her own - one wonders how she posts
in here) and Spaceland which has three dimensions. The author, Abbott,
wrote a lot on theology and was a headmaster. The narrator, A Square, is
imprisoned on his return from Spaceland , as a heretic. The book raises
question on the integration of planes of consciousness Molly touches on
here, and is a bit of a precursor to Relativity.
